Accessibility statement

Stappenmethode.nl wants as many people as possible to be able to use this website. We aim to conform to WCAG 2.2 Level AA, the standard underpinning the European Accessibility Act (EN 301 549).

Compliance status

This website is largely compliant with WCAG 2.2 Level AA. The parts that are not yet fully accessible are described below.

Known limitations

• The interactive chess exercises (the practice boards with draggable pieces) are currently not fully keyboard operable and do not announce changes to screen readers. We are working on an accessible alternative. The rest of the content on the exercise pages remains available.
• Not every page is fully translated into all languages (German and French); on those pages Dutch content may be shown.

How we test accessibility

We combine automated checks (axe-core, run in our development pipeline) with manual keyboard and screen reader testing.
